Аннотация: Война сопротивления вьетнамского народа против США за спасение Родины продолжалась 21 год (1954–1975) и отличалась масштабностью, чрезвычайно ожесточенным характером и интенсивностью. Вьетнаму пришлось противостоять противнику, имеющему во много раз больший экономический и военный потенциал. В ходе этой борьбы Вьетнам получал помощь от социалистических стран как в военном, так и в экономическом плане. На основе документов, привлеченных из архива канцелярии премьер-министра Вьетнама, в статье обосновываются следующие положения: во-первых, Вьетнам получил огромную экономическую помощь от Советского Союза и социалистических стран в Войне сопротивления против Америки. Помощь социалистических стран, оказанная в особенно важные моменты Войны сопротивления, укрепила Вьетнам и помогла ему создать значительные силы в борьбе за национальное объединение. Во-вторых, из-за глобального конфликта времен Холодной войны поддержка социалистического блока исходила не только из особых отношений между Вьетнамом и этой группой стран, но и отражала сложные международные отношения. Вьетнам получал наибольшую помощь тогда, когда военное присутствие США во Вьетнаме являлось максимальным. В-третьих, в группе социалистических стран возникли противоречия, хотя они и считались единым блоком и разделяли общую идеологию. Однако в таком сложном контексте Вьетнам весьма успешно строил международные отношения, чтобы получить наибольшую помощь от других стран. В истории редко бывает, чтобы две противоборствующие страны оказывали помощь третьей, как, например, было в отношениях между Вьетнамом, Китаем и Советским Союзом с 1954 по 1975 г. Это укрепило вьетнамский народ в борьбе и привело его к победе в Войне сопротивления против Америки и к спасению своей Родины.
